Mylopotas is one of the best-known beaches in Ios, with a long sandy shoreline, clear Aegean water, restaurants, watersports and regular buses to Chora.
You can easily spend an entire day here swimming, eating, drinking and relaxing without needing to go anywhere else.

Do You Need a Car in Ios?
Not necessarily, there is buses running every 15mins. the drive from the Port all the way to Mylopotas beach isnt no more than 10-15min drive.
However, we would recommend arrange ATV/ bike hire for convenience otherwise you will be limited to experiencing all the island has to offer. Hiring a car, scooter or ATV becomes more useful if you want to explore quieter beaches and more remote parts of Ios.

There’s no single best place to stay in Ios. The Island isnt too big that you cant walk most places, however being close to bus stops or shops will make your life a little easier!
